WHO WE ARE?

We are passionate about promoting the development of Women. We do this by:

  • advocating for gender inclusivity in trade.
  • empowering Women through dissemination of relevant information on trade compliance – rules, regulations, and requirements to enable Women to take informed decisions when conducting cross border trade to import or export their products and services. As an added benefit, our solution includes sharing of information on regional and global value chains, and how to access new markets.
  • creating networking platforms for Women to share best practices, opportunities, and incentives to grow their businesses, and to engage with policy makers to take advantage of and to fully utilize available trade solutions for cross border trade.

We know the needs of Women in Africa are different. As such, our interventions seek to add value and to offer solutions that will contribute to altering the economic status of Women, respectively.

Our target market is:

  • Women entrepreneurs that are already successful and have entered continental and global markets.
  • Women that are successful entrepreneurs seeking to enter new markets in Africa and globally.
  • Women that are not yet successful and are seeking support to become successful entrepreneurs to be able to access local, continental, and global markets.
To reach our target market we collaborate with Women owned organisations, formations and enterprises that are focusing on developing and empowering Women to commercialise their products and services and to prepare them for export markets in Africa and Globally.

We also collaborate with Women organisations in Africa and globally to mobilise, organise and empower Women to formalise their hustles and register businesses,  to form cooperatives and profitable business ventures that can be replicated across the African continent.

To ensure sustainability of our work, we partner with policy makers to disseminate relevant policy information and advocate for gender inclusivity in trade, trade policy and trade facilitation solutions that are implemented by governments, regional, continental and international organisations.

We align ourselves with:

  • African Union’s agenda 2063 “The Africa We Want”
  • United Nations’ agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals
  • World Trade Organisation’s Joint Declaration on Trade and Women’s Economic Empowerment” (2017)
  • Declaration of the Customs Co-operation Council on Gender Equality and Diversity in Customs (December 2020)

Our partners include:

  • Corporates;
  • Businesses;
  • Continental, Regional and International Organisations;
