AAWCT’s aim is to find innovative, pertinent, and progressive ways to educate, and share knowledge on commerce and trade as a mechanism to enhance the economic status of  women, youth and SMME’s fuelled by the recognition of the value and contributions they make  towards growing the economy.

We purposefully and intentionally align our vision with the African Union’s agenda 2063, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to transform the world, and the World Trade Organization’s agenda 2030.

Our goal is to develop an African business network and a platform to empower informal traders, aspiring entrepreneurs, established, and successful women and youth business owners.

Our association is made up of seasoned and successful female experts and business owners with the right skills panning from more than 100 years of combined knowledge and expertise in their respective fields within Commerce and Trade

From different sponsorship levels to financial as well as tangible item-based donations, there are a variety of ways to support our efforts.

South African tax laws regarding donations

Donations Tax is leviable at a flat rate of 20% on donations up to a cumulative value of R30 million and at a rate of 25% thereafter.

The Income Tax Act allows for a deduction, against the taxable income of any taxpayer, of any bona fide donation made to, for example, any approved organisation, agency, institution or department of government listed in section 18A(1) of the Act. The deduction is, however, limited to 10% of the taxpayer’s taxable income. The amount of donations exceeding 10% of the taxable income is treated as a donation which was made in the following year of assessment.  For further details kindly refer to the following link
